Mariupol Maternity Hospital No. 3
14"x14" (size w/ black frame) framed canvas print. The original painting is in a private collection. Created with mixed media, after watching the news on March 9, 2022 that russians intentionally bombed a maternity hospital in Mariupol, Ukraine. A brand new mother and her newborn were killed and many injured. It was very clear early on in the invasion, that the russians had no intention to only bomb military targets; they intentionally bombed hospitals, schools, places of worship, apartment bldgs., historical sites, museums, densely populated city centres - entire neighbourhoods are still crumbling. Why? To maximize civilian casualties and decimate Ukrainian culture and history. We cannot be erased.
